Ship Cases
To ship cases to us you need a waybill (shipping label) and a Commercial Invoice (3 copies). Please contact us. contact page
Delivery Time
At China Dental Outsourcing, Inc., we recognize time is of the essence. We fully understand the pressures of timely deliveries and work with UPS and DHL to insure your cases are handled with the utmost expediency and accuracy. Shipping by UPS or DHL usually takes three days with a occasional chance of delay during shipping (due to weather, mechanical problems, customs, etc.). This means the total turnaround time will usually be 10 days from the date of shipment from your lab.
The best days to ship are Tuesdays and Fridays. If you ship on Tuesday, you will usually receive your cases on the second Thursday; if you ship on a Friday, you usually receive your cases on the second Monday.
We will send you an email notification when we receive your shipment. If there are any questions about your cases, we will contact you by email or telephone. When your cases are sent back to you, we will send you an email along with the tracking number so you will know when to expect your shipment.
Cases are generally processed within three calendar days of receipt. Exceptions to this are when we have questions about the cases, or if there are two or more items that need to processed sequentially, such as an attachment partial denture framework with crowns. Most questions are regarding occlussal clearance or the bite. To avoid delays, please indicate on the lab slip what we should do in the event of insufficient occlussal clearance; adjust and mark the opposing arch, reduce the abutment and make a reduction coping, or with cases where the clearance needed is less than 1.0 mm, metal occlusal.
How to send us your cases
Step 1: Contact us for a price list. We will send this to you by email. This contains all the documents you need to open an account and send cases to us immediately.
Step 2: Send only silicon-based impressions and bite registrations. Do NOT send alginate as it is very heavy and does not travel well. Put cases into the smallest box that protects the cases and seal. You may use any box, including boxes from other labs.
Step 3: Prepare the Commercial Shipping Invoice (3 copies) and a UPS Waybill and put on the OUTSIDE of the box.
Step 4: Give the shipment to UPS. In the US, you may call US UPS: 1-800 782-7892. UPS charges a US$6 “pickup charge” when you call to pickup a shipment. To avoid the pickup charge you may hand the package to any UPS or DHL driver. This includes when the driver is delivering a package to you. So, if you ship at the same time as when your delivery comes, then there is no charge. You may also take the package to
– a shipping store
– an authorized shipping outlet
– a dropbox
Step 5: When we receive your shipment we will notify you by email. We begin making the cases immediately and will email and/or call with any questions within two business days. When necessary, we will send a photo of the case in question to help communication.
Step 6: We will send you an itemized invoice by email for the shipment and ship all finished cases once payment is made. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Amex, Discover and Paypal.
Step 7: We will send you the UPS tracking number when finished cases have shipped. All impressions and parts sent with each case will be returned to you.
Step 8: You receive your finished cases in three business days. Please note: there is a chance for shipping delays due to UPS that are beyond our control. These are rare, but do happen from time to time.
